Somers Custom Furniture was honored to collaborate with revered designer Sandra Tengan for custom circular outdoor seating for the Marriot’s KoOlina Resort in Oahu, HI. Supplied with construction documents, isometric drawings, and elevations, Somers Design Team went to work developing a prototype for approval. Receiving the green light to proceed, a Sunbrella Rain performance fabric with a waterproof coating that when fabricated using unique techniques such as self-swelling thread and several moisture vents, repel moisture and become usable for hospitality guests within minutes, was specified.

Located on ocean front property, dry fast foam, Sunbrella Rain performance fabric on the tight seat cushions, a platinum colored outdoor fabric for the exterior base, and stainless steel legs were all specified for their weather and corrosion resistance properties
